HIDDEN HOMEY DINING...AND THAT ROOFTOP!
Lonny Pugh, Senior Editor/Producer - Dining, Hotels & Travel
Tucked into a quiet residential street, Le Parc is an "under-the-radar getaway for visitors and locals alike. |

Out-of-town visitors select this "suite" spot for its central convenience and its low-key charm. The diminutive lobby isn't showy, but the 154 suites it precedes are filled with electronics, a mini-bar, DirectTV, kitchenette, living area and private balcony. (Each is between 650 and 1,000 square feet.)
Locals who've discovered the largely overlooked Knoll, a leisurely restaurant seating just 32 on the third floor, feel slightly smug at the charming discovery. A couch and fireplace help the room feel like you're in the home of an acquaintance's friendly uncle; the homey cuisine furthers the notion. Daily farmers-market-dependent specials accentuate a menu heavy on steak-and-seafood options; pizzas, pastas and salads are also available.
Standout starters include the light, crispy calamari and a small assortment of apples, grapes and bread with a basil-and-cheese dipping sauce. The menu is also served to diners on a truly surprising rooftop, all views of Hollywood and the PacificDesignCenter, that also has a pool, hot tub and private tennis court.

In Short
Located on the third floor of the boutique Le Parc Suites, this cozy nook was designed with an intimate living room vibe rather than standard hotel dining space. The menu includes classic regional dishes such as steamed mussels, grilled lamb chops and filet of beef. An extensive wine list with selections from various California regions such as Monterey's CarmelValley and the Santa Ynez complement the dishes.
The Extras
The cafe can be reserved for private cocktail parties or private sit-down dinners for up to 50 people. Catering for private occasions outside of the restaurant is available as well.

PARC PLACE - HIDE AWAY IN STYLE WITH DINNER AT KNOLL
Jenn Smith, Editor-in-Chief, Front Desk Magazine
Want to set the scene for your summer rendezvous? Make reservations at Knoll at Le Parc, a comfortable 12-table escape inside West Holly-wood's Le Parc Suite Hotel that feels more like a living room than a restaurant.
Newly arrived via consulting and cooking assignments at such regarded local restaurants as Kachina Grill, Michael's and Hollywood and Vine, executive chef Mike Borassi has a knack for blending his Italian heritage and classic French technique with flavors from around the world. |

Recent standouts included starters like smoked salmon quesadillas with Roma tomatoes and sweet onions, as well as such entrees as troll-caught salmon fillet over wilted spinach with a jalapeno and orange burre blanc, and gilled lamb chops with chili-mint demi. Nab a corner table and enjoy any of the above paired with a bottle of wine from Knoll's California-heavy list, which also includes a dozen choices by the glass.
After dinner, we recommend the Meyer lemon tart brulee or the fresh fruit tart with marscapone and heavy orange-Riesling sauce, followed by a detour to the hotel's cabana-happy rooftop for romantic, sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills.
